Near Field is Gambletron’s installation for the 2022 outdoor exhibition, Via Detour, curated by Maria Hinze and Peter Becker at Robin's Nest Baumhaus Hotel in a forest near Kassel, Germany. Focussed on sustainability and designed to run parallel to documenta 15, this project connected artists to the nearby Becker Recyling plant where they sourced materials for works later installed in the forest surrounding Robins Nest.

Near Field consists of an FM radio transmitted sound composition resonating through metal objects found at Becker Recycling. The sound is further augmented through feedback caused by the close interaction of FM transmitters and receivers interacting within the sculptural work.
